Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the non-blocking, non-coherent allocation path that utilizes the dma alloc from pool() function. The system incorrectly relies on the cpu addr variable to detect allocation failures; however, this variable is only populated upon success. Failure to directly check the returned page before using it for IOMMU mapping can lead to improper memory handling.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
