Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An infinite loop exists in the nilfs2 file system within the nilfs clean segments() function. This occurs when the cleaner ioctl is executed and the nilfs segctor construct() function repeatedly returns a -EROFS error, which typically happens if the device is remounted as read-only following an I/O error. The system fails to abort the process upon encountering this terminal error, leading to a hung task in nilfs transaction begin().
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
