Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the liveupdate component where the system fails to record the status of failed retrieve attempts on a First Level Buffer (FLB). When the
luo flb retrieve one() function encounters an error, it returns the error immediately without storing the attempt or the error code. Consequently, if a user attempts to retrieve another file registered with the same FLB, the system calls the retrieve() callback again. This retry is problematic because the FLB may be in an inconsistent state, as serialized data structures or KHO pages might have already been restored and freed, leading to unexpected behavior.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
