Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the BPF subsystem for RISC-V architecture regarding extable handling for arena load acquire. The emit atomic ld st() function returns a value that causes the caller to skip add exception handler(), resulting in a missing extable entry. This can lead to a system oops when a faulting PROBE ATOMIC load acquire occurs. Additionally, the use of REG DONT CLEAR MARKER can leave the rd register stale upon a fault; since the verifier assumes the load overwrote the register, a program may be able to leak the stale data through a map.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
