Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the ACPI PCI implementation where the
acpi pci root is freed without clearing the driver data pointer. In the acpi pci root add() function, if dmar device add() fails during a hot-add, the root is freed while device->driver data still points to it. Additionally, acpi pci root remove() frees the root without clearing device->driver data. This results in a dangling pointer that may be dereferenced by a subsequent acpi pci find root() call.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
