Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the BPF (Berkeley Packet Filter) subsystem where the interpreter does not support arena-related instructions. When the interpreter executes arena ST, LDX, or STX instructions, it triggers a BUG ON() in the bpf prog run() function within core.c, leading to a kernel crash. This occurs because the interpreter fallback is incorrectly allowed for these specific instructions in the bpf prog select runtime() function.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
