Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the ad525x dpot driver where the ad dpot probe() function manually creates per-RDAC sysfs files. This implementation requires the probe function to handle the rollback of partial sysfs states and necessitates that the remove function matches every file created during the probe process. The fix involves moving device attributes into driver core dev groups for I2C and SPI drivers and implementing an is visible() callback to ensure only supported attributes are exposed. This ensures sysfs files are created only after a successful probe and removed before the driver data is freed.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
