Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A race condition exists in the bcm-vk module where the bcm vk sync msgq() function populates message queue information and sets the msgq inited variable. Because atomic set() and atomic read() do not enforce memory ordering, readers using the bcm vk drv access ok() function may observe msgq inited as set while still accessing stale queue information.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
