Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A race condition exists during the teardown of Display Manager (DM) I2C adapters. Because these adapters may remain visible to userspace while the teardown process is active, a concurrent i2c-dev transfer can trigger the amdgpu dm i2c xfer() function after the supporting DM state has been removed. This sequence leads to a NULL pointer dereference, which is a situation where the system attempts to read from a memory address that does not exist, typically resulting in a system crash.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
