Description
A race condition exists in the
dax holder notify failure() function. The function reads the holder ops variable twice without using READ ONCE(), once for a NULL check and once for the indirect notify failure() call. A concurrent fs put dax() operation can clear holder ops between these two reads, potentially causing the system to dereference a NULL pointer after the initial check passed.Recommendations
