Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the arm scmi firmware component where scmi device destroy() uses a protocol and name lookup method that excludes transport devices, preventing them from being properly unregistered during channel teardown. Additionally, the system fails to reject duplicate protocol channel setups, which could allow malformed firmware with duplicate protocol child nodes to reuse an existing transport device and subsequently destroy it when a duplicate IDR insertion fails.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
