Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the RDMA/core component where the put gid ndev() function is queued using call rcu(). Because stopping workqueues does not drain already queued callbacks, the Read-Copy-Update (RCU) mechanism—a synchronization primitive used to protect shared data from simultaneous access—could invoke the function after the ib core module code has been unloaded from memory.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
