Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
Resource leaks occur during driver initialization in the
asus wmi add() function. The error path labels are incorrectly ordered relative to the registration sequence of subsystems. If asus wmi custom fan curve init() fails, the process bypasses cleanup for the input device and sysfs groups. Similarly, if asus screenpad init() fails, the process bypasses cleanup for backlight and rfkill resources.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
