Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A Use-After-Free (UAF) issue exists in the USB subsystem. This occurs when a probe operation runs concurrently with the removal of dynamic IDs. Because dynamic IDs are only guaranteed to be valid while the
usb dynids lock is held, the remove id store function can free the node while it is still being accessed. This is addressed by creating a copy in the usb probe interface() function.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
