Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the qcom GENI serial DMA TX completion path where the transmit fifo is advanced by the number of bytes recorded in port->tx remaining. If uart flush buffer() is executed after a DMA transfer completes but before the DMA completion interrupt is handled, the serial core resets the transmit fifo while port->tx remaining still refers to the previous transfer. If new data is written by userspace before the stale DMA completion interrupt is processed, the system may incorrectly advance the fifo and discard the new data.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
