Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the dell-wmi-base component where the handling of the ultra performance key is incorrect. The dell wmi process key() function uses an incorrect index when accessing the first data field of the event data buffer, which can lead to a buffer overread. A buffer overread occurs when a program reads data past the end of the intended buffer, potentially accessing adjacent memory locations.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
