Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A use-after-free issue exists in the printk component. During legacy printing, a handover to another printing context can occur, causing the console SRCU (Sleepable Read Copy Update) read lock to be released. This can render the pointer to the console struct invalid. The
console flush one record() function fails to verify if a handover occurred before continuing to use the @con variable, potentially leading to memory corruption or system instability.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
