Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A device reference count leak exists during MHI device creation. The function mhi ep create device() allocates references for the UL and DL channels; however, if dev set name() or device add() fails, the error path only releases one reference. This prevents the device from being properly released and leaves channels associated with an unregistered device.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
