Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the BPF (Berkeley Packet Filter) subsystem where the
check ptr to btf access() function allows btf struct access callbacks to validate write operations before the default BTF access path can reject non-read accesses. This behavior bypasses the read-only policy intended for untrusted BTF pointers generated by helpers like bpf rdonly cast(). BTF (BPF Type Format) is a metadata format that provides type information for BPF programs.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
