Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A race condition exists in the cgroup/cpuset component where the nr deadline tasks variable in the cpuset structure can be corrupted. This occurs because the variable can be modified simultaneously by the inc dl tasks cs() function under rq->lock and the cpuset attach() function under cpuset mutex. Such corruption can lead to incorrect system operations. This issue specifically affects races between concurrent sched setscheduler() and cpuset can attach() or cpuset attach() calls.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
