Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A resource leak occurs in the nvmet-rdma module when an NVMe target using RDMA transport is removed while I/O operations are in flight. In this scenario, a response may be posted, but the connection is torn down before the send completion is delivered. Consequently, the functions
nvmet rdma send done() and nvmet rdma release rsp() are not executed, leading to a memory leak of the allocated RDMA read/write context and request SGLs (Scatter Gather Lists, which are data structures used to manage non-contiguous memory buffers).Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
