Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel version 4.19.15
Description
An issue exists in the syscall trace path for C-SKY ABIv2 where syscall arguments are reloaded from
pt regs before the syscall handler is called. The system adjusts the sp (stack pointer) before loading LSAVE A4 and LSAVE A5. Because these offsets are relative to the original pt regs base, loading them after the sp change results in fetching incorrect slots. Consequently, traced syscalls utilizing the 5th or 6th arguments, such as mmap2(), may receive corrupted arguments.Recommendations
Update Linux kernel version 4.19.15 to a version where the trace path is fixed to load
a4 and a5 from pt regs before changing sp.Exploit
