Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A CPU stall occurs in the xilinx dma poll timeout() function when it is called with the delay us variable set to 0 and a condition is never fulfilled. This is caused by a significant underestimation of wall clock time within poll timeout us atomic(), leading the CPU to busy-wait for several minutes instead of timing out after the expected duration. This behavior results from the removal of ktime get in previous updates, which causes the timeout to be calculated based on the overhead of the loop rather than actual time.
Recommendations Update the Linux kernel to a version where the delay us value is set to a non-zero value, such as 10, by implementing the XILINX DMA POLL DELAY US constant.
