Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A dangling pointer issue exists in the
amdgpu dm plane drm plane reset() function. The function frees the old state before attempting to allocate a new one using kzalloc(). If the allocation fails, the function returns without updating the state pointer, which then points to memory that has already been freed.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
