Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the drm/amd/powerplay component where the system fails to properly validate the
usSize of voltage objects. When the VBIOS provides a malformed VoltageObjectInfo table, it can lead to an infinite loop or a heap out-of-bounds (OOB) read, which occurs when a program reads data outside the intended boundary of a memory buffer. This happens if the usSize is smaller than the header or causes the cursor to advance beyond the table end.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
