Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A NULL pointer dereference occurs in the panthor driver during the split of GPU mapping caused by a partial unmap of an evicted Buffer Object (BO). The issue arises because the logic intended to handle partial unmaps of huge pages is not correctly skipped for the Virtual Memory Area (VMA) of an evicted BO. This leads to a NULL pointer dereference of the bo->backing.pages pointer, which is set to NULL when BO pages are released during eviction. The issue was observed in the iova mapped as huge page() function.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
