Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the ASOC rt700-sdw component where the
rt700 sdw remove() function only drains jack detect work and jack btn check work if the rt700->hw init state bit is true. Because rt700 update status() can clear this bit when a SoundWire slave becomes UNATTACHED, work items previously queued by rt700 interrupt callback() or rt700 jack init() may not be properly cancelled during device removal. This creates a discrepancy where the remove path relies on a mutable hardware state bit rather than the existence of the work object itself, potentially leaving active timers or work objects associated with the rt700 jack work path after the device is removed.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
