Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the drm/v3d component where the run job() callbacks for BIN, RENDER, TFU, and CSD assign an incoming job to queue->active job before calling v3d fence create(). If v3d fence create() fails, the callback returns NULL without clearing active job, resulting in a dangling pointer. A dangling pointer occurs when a pointer still points to a memory location that has been freed or is no longer valid.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
