Description
A heap buffer overflow occurs during protocol message processing before authentication. This flaw allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service or potentially execute arbitrary code. A heap buffer overflow is a condition where a program writes more data to a heap-allocated memory block than it can hold, potentially corrupting adjacent memory.
