Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
http-cache-semantics versions prior to 4.2.1
Description
The software fails to properly validate security-zeroed cache entries when processing client
max-stale directives. An unauthenticated attacker can request a URL using a large max-stale value to force the reuse of a shared-cache entry belonging to another user. This can lead to the exposure of sensitive information, such as Set-Cookie session credentials, from entries that were intentionally zeroed for security reasons.Recommendations
Update to a version newer than 4.2.0.
