Description
The POST '/api/machine/{pk}/restart/' endpoint in src/backend/InvenTree/machine/api.py uses IsAuthenticatedOrReadScope without requiring the ADMIN role. This allows any authenticated user, such as those with only the STOCK role, to trigger the
registry.restart machine() function for any registered machine. This action resets the machine status and interrupts active operations like printing or scanning.Recommendations
