Description
A denial of service issue exists in the multi PCM plugin due to a failure to validate sparse binding indices before array access. An attacker can provide a malicious ALSA configuration file containing sparse bindings to trigger an out-of-bounds array read and an assertion failure, which leads to the application aborting.
Recommendations
Update alsa-lib to version 1.2.16.2 or later.
