Description A heap buffer overflow occurs during romfs volume ID parsing when processing crafted filesystem images. The issue stems from the use of unbounded strlen and memcpy operations on attacker-controlled metadata, which allows data to be written beyond the boundaries of a fixed-size label buffer.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
