Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
PaperCut Hive embedded application for Ricoh devices (affected versions not specified)
Description
An input validation issue exists where the application fails to properly sanitize input received during the NFC card reading process before passing it to the web view interface. A local attacker with physical access to the device could use a specially crafted NFC card or emulator to perform JavaScript injection, allowing the execution of arbitrary code within the context of the application's user interface. This may lead to unauthorized actions or information disclosure.
Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
