Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Qt VNC Server (affected versions not specified)
Description
An authentication bypass exists in the password authentication mechanism of the Qt VNC Server module. An attacker can use a modified VNC client that violates the RFB (Remote Frame Buffer) protocol—a protocol used for remote representation of a framebuffer—to bypass password authentication. This allows unauthorized remote access to the shared application, compromising the confidentiality and integrity of the session.
Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
