Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the
svcrdma component where svc rdma accept() fails to correctly handle the error path when rpcrdma rn register() does not succeed. In this scenario, the cleanup block unconditionally calls rpcrdma rn unregister(), which can lead to the erasure of another caller's slot and an unmatched kref put() on the rpcrdma device reference. Additionally, a reference counting error occurs where the svcxprt rdma and its pinned net/ns tracker are leaked during every failed accept attempt because the reference count never reaches zero.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
