Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the lockd component when releasing locks by server IP address via the /proc/fs/nfsd/unlock ip endpoint. The nlmsvc match ip() function incorrectly reverses its arguments when called by nlm traverse locks(). Specifically, it attempts to dereference a sockaddr structure as an nlm host structure, leading to the reading of invalid data. Consequently, the comparison fails, and locks associated with the requested IP address are not released.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
