Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the show pte() function during lockless page-table walks on arm64 architecture. Because the function can run with interrupts enabled, a concurrent teardown may free a table page while it is being accessed. Additionally, a parent entry might be cleared after the function has checked it, causing the pXd offset() helpers to reread the cleared entry, derive an invalid lower-level pointer, and trigger a fault. This occurs because the system uses MMU GATHER RCU TABLE FREE for task page tables, where RCU-deferred table frees and tlb remove table sync one() IPI (Inter-Processor Interrupts) can interfere with the walk.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
