Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the scheduler isolation where memblock allocated memory is freed too early in the boot process, specifically when the memory map is not yet fully initialized in deferred init memmap(). This occurs when the nohz full kernel boot parameter is used, leading to a warning in free reserved area() within mm/memblock.c. The problem is addressed by deferring the freeing of housekeeping cpumask memblock memory using a new housekeeping late init() helper, which ensures the memory is released during the processing of initcalls.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
