Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the RDMA/efa component during memory region (MR) registration. When creating an indirect Page Boundary List (PBL), the system generates a chunk list to store PBL page pointers. If the total number of pages is a multiple of
EFA PTRS PER CHUNK, the length of the final chunk is incorrectly calculated as 0. This erroneous length is used for DMA mapping and transmitted to the device, leading the device to perceive the chunk as empty and reject the memory registration. Additionally, this scenario can lead to an out-of-bounds access within the chunks array.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
