Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A flaw exists in the netfilter component where the
nfnl log net exit() function calls nf log unset(), clearing the logger pointer without waiting for an RCU (Read-Copy-Update) grace period. This allows the ops free list() function to free the per-net state while concurrent packets may still be executing the nf log packet() function under rcu read lock(). RCU is a synchronization mechanism that allows multiple readers to access data while it is being updated.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
