Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An out-of-bounds access issue exists in the
iwlwifi wireless driver within the mvm module. The mvmsta->tid data array was incorrectly indexed using the TFD loop counter i instead of the actual Traffic Identifier (TID) value tid. This error causes the lq color value to be written into an incorrect tid data slot that is unrelated to the Block Acknowledgment (BA) entry. Block Acknowledgment is a mechanism used in wireless networking to acknowledge multiple data frames at once to improve efficiency.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
