Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the iwlwifi wifi driver within the mvm module regarding the validation of the TX CMD response layout. The parsing of TX CMD utilizes the frame count variable to traverse status entries and read the trailing SCD SSN. The flaw occurs when the minimum-length check does not align with the runtime layout calculation before the payload is parsed. Additionally, for the new TX API, the system fails to properly reject TX CMD responses where frame count is not equal to 1, which should instead be handled via BA notifications for aggregated accounting.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
