Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the wifi rsi component where the
rsi prepare beacon() function copies a mac80211 beacon frame into a management skb (socket buffer) without properly validating the beacon length against the available tailroom. This can occur because the usable tailroom may be smaller than MAX MGMT PKT SIZE after alignment, potentially leading to a buffer overflow during the copy and skb put() operations.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
