Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A race condition exists in the ieee80211 ibss disconnect() function within the mac80211 module during the process of leaving an Independent Basic Service Set (IBSS). The system flushes stations and turns off the carrier, but cross-CPU race conditions can allow packets to be transmitted after the carrier is disabled. This may result in transmissions occurring while or after the driver is instructed to leave the IBSS, which can cause drivers, specifically iwlwifi, to attempt to use invalid queues.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
