Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the
rsi hal load key() function where tx mic key and rx mic key are copied from data[16] and data[24] regardless of the cipher being used. Since these offsets are specific to the 32-byte TKIP key layout, shorter keys used by other ciphers, such as CCMP, do not provide these bytes. This results in the function reading past the supplied key buffer.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
