Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the au1000 close() function where free irq() is called while the aup->lock is held via spin lock irqsave(). Because free irq() can sleep while acquiring the IRQ descriptor request mutex, calling it within a spinlocked section creates an invalid wait context. This was identified in the .ndo stop path, where the lock remained held during MAC reset, queue stop, and the execution of free irq(dev->irq, dev).
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
