Description A NULL pointer dereference occurs in the spi get device match data() function when spi get device id() returns NULL. This situation can arise when using driver override without a matching SPI ID entry. A NULL pointer dereference is a type of memory access violation that happens when a program attempts to read or write to a memory address that is NULL.
