Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A memory leak occurs in the RDMA counter component when the
rdma counter bind qp() function fails within alloc and bind(). The error path jumps to err mode, which frees the counter but fails to decrement the num counters variable in port counter. Because rdma counter free() is unreachable when a counter is not successfully bound, this leak accumulates over repeated failures. This prevents the port from switching to AUTO mode by triggering an -EBUSY error in counter set mode() and blocks the automatic revert from MANUAL to NONE mode in rdma counter free(). Additionally, if the mode was NONE before the call, the MANUAL mode set by counter set mode() also leaks.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
