Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
An issue exists in the driver core where a warning is incorrectly triggered during the removal of a device while its supplier is in the process of unbinding. This occurs when a consumer device is removed and the supplier's link status is set to
DL DEV UNBINDING instead of DL DEV DRIVER BOUND, and the DL FLAG SYNC STATE ONLY flag is not set. This scenario typically happens in complex device topologies, such as when a PCI device removal triggers a chain of unbinding for an interrupt controller (OIC), pinctrl, and i2c devices. The warning is generated within the device links no driver() function.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
